Job Description

Purpose of Role:
  • To perform Relationship Management function covering commercial, strategic, contractual and AML matters for State Street\'s Middle Eastern clients.
  • Ensure that all matters that could have an adverse impact on State Street, its clients and relationships with regulators will be escalated to appropriate senior personnel, relevant functional heads and to legal entity boards as appropriate.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Industry Knowledge & Experience
  • Develop and stay current with STT strengths that differentiate us from the competition.
  • To maintain an understanding of Sovereign Wealth and Official Institutions service and relationship requirements.
  • Maintain a high level understanding of all STT products and services covering amongst other things bundled custody and fund accounting services as well as STT\'s expertise in data aggregation.
  • Develop relationships with external third-parties who will have influence over clients and prospects (e.g. consultants, associations, etc.).
  • Keep abreast of industry initiatives and ensure appropriate knowledge of AML, Compliance and OFAC regulations.
  • Client Management
  • To develop, agree and implement client account plans working closely with other departments within IS and the rest of SSC.
  • Have direct responsibility for all aspects of the commercial, strategic and contractual relationships with clients.
  • Maintain client documentation and ensure it is current.
  • Develop senior level contacts within all assigned clients who have decision making roles.
  • To identify cross-sell opportunities and formulate a plan to introduce and implement to clients.
  • Co-ordinate with all others areas of SSC to create cross selling opportunities for the firm
  • Assist the Head of MENA/Official Institutions in developing and maintaining an executive calling program for SSC executives
  • Where appropriate define and agree a service measurement program with clients that can include the use of client report card and enquiry tracking processes.
  • Ensure regular reviews of service quality take place between the key strategic clients and the SSBT client service delivery team
  • In collaboration with the first (AML centre) and second (Compliance) lines of defence ensure the bank remains up-to-date with relevant KYC/AML requirements.
  • Financial Management
  • To be responsible for existing client P+L
  • Responsible for preparation of proposed deal and client financials in coordination with appropriate internal stakeholders and ensuring that the new business review procedures are consistently followed
  • Provide updates, as appropriate, on the financial health of clients and own plans to remediate unprofitable clients
Managerial

  • The competence of the staff reporting to you
  • Ensure that your team has clear understanding of their reporting lines, authority levels, scope of responsibilities (including those delegated to them and those they delegate), objectives, training and competency requirements plus progress is reviewed regularly in line with Company policy, and are regulatory registered where appropriate for their role
  • Develop effective working relationships and communications with staff and ensure that staff are motivated, developed and supported.
  • Ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your own and staff behaviour.
