Reinsurance Technician (Dubai)
We are looking to employ a Reinsurance Technician to be based in our Dubai office and to work with us on a Full-Time basis.

The Role

• Assist the broking team with review of reinsurance contracts and endorsements vis-\xc3\xa0-vis agreements in place.
• To keep accurate records and ensure all electronic files are up to date and DFSA/RIBL (MENA) compliant.
• Coordinate with the accounting department to ensure accounting documentation is in line with the reinsurance agreements in place and uploaded on the electronic systems the company keeps.
• Follow up for the production and claims bordereaux for any business that is required in line with contract(s) terms and conditions.
• Share claims advice and follow up till the claims are settled/ closed, under the supervision of the broking team.
• Assist the broking team with the production of renewal/new business presentations for submission to markets including production of placing slips if and as necessary.
• Assist the broking team with account handling for designated clients, including all day to day correspondence.
• Assist in collection of compliance documents to ensure adherence with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Liaising with the service teams as necessary.
• Where necessary to maintain and develop good working relationships with both clients and underwriters.
• Help drive forward good conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
• Ensure correct protocols are followed at all times in compliance with the firms systems and controls
• You are required to comply with the DFSA conduct rules.

What we are looking for

• You will assist in execution of the business plan and achievement of the strategic objectives.
• You will assist the team with reinsurance technical support and broking. Deliver expert and professional service to enhance the firm\xe2\x80\x99s reputation and provide high quality reinsurance services to clients. Coordination of technical service functions to broking and finance team.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in similar or equivalent role.
• Ability to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and expertise in relation to specific classes of business that will be conducted.
• Technical knowledge and understanding in relation to structure of reinsurance placements, including construction of market reform contract / reinsurance agreement and appropriate supporting policy wordings.
• Good organisational skills and understanding of the fundamentals of broking operations.

Qualifications

• University Degree and/or relevant professional qualification.
