Regulatory Manager

Based in Abu Dhabi

Purpose of the position:

The Regulatory Manager will take the leading role in managing Wizz Abu Dhabi regulatory affairs and obtaining traffic rights. He/she will drive Wizz Air\'s expansion to new, regulatory restricted markets. The Regulatory Manager will report to the senior Manager of Government Affairs and Security.

Responsibilities:

• Leading Wizz Air\'s efforts to secure market access to new countries and jurisdictions;
• Managing the Wizz Abu Dhabi traffic rights portfolio, procuring designations, extra-bilateral rights and other operating permissions;
• Managing the Foreign Airline Registration process for entering new countries;
• Securing seasonal route permits and conducting revisions as needed;
• Driving automation and process improvement of traffic right\'s management
• Close cooperation with Commercial teams to understand Wizz Air\'s strategic focus and drive market access efforts accordingly.

Building relationships with industry regulators and Civil Aviation Authorities across the network

Requirements:

• UAE National
• Completed university or college degree is a must.
• Good understanding of aviation regulatory landscape and traffic rights.
• Ideally will have prior experience in both Commercial and Operational areas of an airline.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Business mindset and ability to synthesize information into recommendations
• Good oral and written presentations skills
• Team work and strong interpersonal skills
• Fluent spoken / written English/Arabic

Flexibility to travel as required away from Head Office
