Job Description
Registration & Tender Review - Engineer (Mechanical) : The Mechanical Tender and Enquiry Review Engineer is responsible for reviewing tenders and enquiries received by the company for mechanical equipment and determining which ones are suitable for the company to quote on. The engineer will also be responsible for regretting tenders and enquiries that do not fit the company\'s capabilities or interests. The engineer should have a good understanding of mechanical drawings and the parts of rotating equipment. He will also be responsible for the pre-qualification of the companies to Government and private entities throughout GCC. Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-qualification and vendor registration
- Reviewing tenders and enquiries received by the company for mechanical equipment, such as pumps, compressors, turbines, etc., from various sources, such as online portals and email
- Evaluating tenders and enquiries based on the company\'s capabilities, interests, and resources
- Preparing a summary report of tenders and enquiries that are suitable for the company to quote on
- Coordinating with the sales and technical teams to prepare quotes for the selected tenders and enquiries
- Regretting tenders and enquiries that do not fit the company\'s capabilities or interests
- Understanding mechanical drawings and parts of rotating equipment to evaluate tender and enquiry requirements
- Maintaining a database of tenders and enquiries received and quoted on
- Will ensure that all online portals are updated and kept always accessible.
- Experience with pre-qualification and vendor registration
- Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Min 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the mechanical equipment industry
- Familiarity with mechanical drawings and the parts of rotating equipment
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal and team-working skills
- Knowledge of tender and enquiry processes and procedures
- Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the mechanical equipment industry
- Experience with online tender and enquiry portals and platforms
