Responsible for the schedule of scrub nurses and other support staff to make sure that a surgical procedure can be performed efficiently
Prepare the necessary surgical equipment and make sure the operating room is clean and sterile
Prioritizes work schedule to meet the needs of the patient. Initiates prompt nursing intervention based on changes in the patient's condition
Anticipates, recognizes and manages emergencies and unsafe situations / practices and initiates appropriate and timely interventions
Maintain surgical services in accordance with competency standards.
Execute proper use, care and handling of surgical equipment to ensure safety of operating staff and patient.
