Responsibilities
Clinical Care Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of healthcare errors. Provides direct care and related duties in NMC Provita and maintains current knowledge of nursing practice and standards. Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care given to assigned patients in an effective and organized manner. Familiar with and understands the Severe Care Domains of DOH. Demonstrates understanding and utilization of Evidence-Based Healthcare. Demonstrates critical thinking skills and knowledge of pathophysiology to care for patients across the entire spectrum of care (acuity) and promotes quality of life. Advocates in the best interest of the patient and family at all times. Supports and integrates Patient and Family Centered Care. Provides education to the family regarding aspects of care as appropriate. Formulates a teaching plan based on identified family learning needs and evaluates the effectiveness of learning (where appropriate). Assists physicians/therapists with procedures as needed. Coordinates and supervises patient care as necessary. Demonstrates flexibility, organization, and the ability to function under stressful situations. Adheres to dress code; appearance is professional, neat, and clean. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completing work within the designated time. Maintains up-to-date clinical knowledge and engages in self-directed ongoing education. Completes annual education requirements and maintains regulatory compliance. Participates in annual reviews and departmental in-services as scheduled. Represents the organization positively and professionally. Complies with all organizational policies. Is competent in all aspects of pain management. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE Essential Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing in home country; Critical care qualification; Active Basic Life Support training; Pediatric qualification (for pediatrics RN); ACLS (for adult patients); PALS (for pediatric patients); Teaching and assessing skills. Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, recent ICU/long-term care unit assignment, mentorship/preceptor ship of new/junior staff. Certification and Licensure: Current valid registration in country of training and/or last employment; Eligible for DOH licensing. Job Specific Knowledge and Skills: Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care programs suitable to patient age; Able to speak Arabic; Up-to-date knowledge of clinical and professional issues; Knowledge of evidence-based practice; Competent in life support; Effective team work skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
