ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Practice: \xc2\xb7 Demonstrates knowledge and clinical assessment skills appropriate to clinical area \xc2\xb7 Participate in the nursing roster and provide assistance to Physician in Home Visit Medical Services \xc2\xb7 Carry our Doctors Orders to Manage Patients with minor injuries and ailments; and perform patient care and tasks as per assigned and approved \xc2\xb7 Assist Doctor to Provide resuscitation and stabilization of patients prior to their transfer to higher levels of care \xc2\xb7 Takes direct and appropriate action in urgent and emergency situations \xc2\xb7 Documents all assessments, interventions and other pertinent information in the patient\xe2\x80\x99s healthcare record in a timely and ongoing manner \xc2\xb7 Promotes continuity of patient care through oral and written communications \xc2\xb7 Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with patients/families, other health care team members and members of other departments \xc2\xb7 Complies with organization\xe2\x80\x99s infection control and safety protocols \xc2\xb7 Takes direct and appropriate action in urgent and emergency situations \xc2\xb7 Documents all assessments, interventions and other pertinent information in the patient\xe2\x80\x99s healthcare record in a timely and ongoing manner \xc2\xb7 Promotes continuity of patient care through oral and written communications \xc2\xb7 Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with patients/families, other health care team members and members of other departments \xc2\xb7 Complies with organization\xe2\x80\x99s infection control and safety protocols Administration: \xc2\xb7 Provides a leadership and resource role in the provision of patient care \xc2\xb7 Addresses issues using a problem-solving framework. Initiates the nursing or medical/administrative chain of command if unable to resolve issues satisfactorily \xc2\xb7 Liaisons with other healthcare team members and departments to provide continuity of patient care and unit activities Education & Research: \xc2\xb7 Works with all healthcare team members in activities designed for the improvement of patient care outcomes \xc2\xb7 Acts as a preceptor and/or resource for new employees, trainees and other staff \xc2\xb7 Assumes responsibility for own professional growth identifying those areas of clinical knowledge and skills that need further development \xc2\xb7 Uses research/current references in the provision of evidence-based care \xc2\xb7 Participates in teaching and mentoring of Nursing Quality: \xc2\xb7 Anticipates and acts to maintain a safe environment \xc2\xb7 Assesses own care, that provided by others, patient care systems, and continuously seeks ways to improve Compiles with and participates in Quality Management Processes and activities \xc2\xb7 Performing general nursing services, checking vitals and general health assessments. \xc2\xb7 The diagnosis, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient\'s care.
