Prepare the dental surgery for clinical procedures, ensuring strict aseptic technique and infection control.
Assist the dentist at the chair-side during all types of dental procedures (restorative, endodontic, periodontal, etc.).
Proficiently perform dental suctioning and provide a clear operating field for the dentist.
Prepare, mix, and handle dental materials (e.g., impressions, cements, composites).
Sterilize, disinfect, and maintain all dental instruments and equipment.
Manage dental stock and supplies, ensuring availability of necessary consumables.
Process and mount dental radiographs (X-rays) as per dentist's instructions.
Provide clear post-operative and oral hygiene instructions to patients.
Accurately document procedures and update patient dental records.
Clinic Operations & Coordination:
Ensure efficient patient flow and manage the clinic's daily schedule.
Maintain strict infection prevention and control protocols in all clinical areas.
Sterilize and disinfect medical instruments and ensure the treatment rooms are stocked and prepared.
Administrative & Compliance:
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) and nursing documentation.
Process insurance claims and pre-authorizations as required by the polyclinic.
Ensure strict adherence to Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations and clinical standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and risk management activities.
Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and professional ethics.
Comply with all UAE healthcare protocols, safety guidelines, and mandatory reporting requirements.
Professional Development & Team Collaboration:
Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, practical nurses, and clinical assistants.
Participate in continuous nursing education and maintain a valid DHA license.
Provide culturally competent and sensitive care to a diverse patient population.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, administrative staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Licensure:
Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter / Exam Pass Certificate.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of UAE nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient or dental clinic setting.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and MS Office.
Language:
Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a significant advantage).
