Role overview:

The Registered Nurse (Pediatric Outpatient Department) provides high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients particularly in Pediatric Outpatient Department, and supports their families. They ensure care aligns with DOH/DHA and organizational standards. This role focuses on patient assessment, health education, preventive care, and assisting physicians during consultations and minor procedures. The Pediatric OPD Nurse ensures a safe, child-friendly environment while fostering positive interactions with both young patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Assist in patient registration, triage, and initial assessment including vital signs, growth measurements, and medical history. Support physicians during consultations, diagnostic tests, and minor outpatient procedures. Administer immunizations, medications, and treatments as prescribed. Provide health education, anticipatory guidance, and counseling to parents and caregivers. Monitor patient progress and ensure proper documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Maintain infection control, patient safety, and child-focused care practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing with an active DOH license. 3-5 years' of experience post qualification in Pediatric department in a hospital setting. * Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
