Job Description

Role Purpose Lead marketing & public relations planning by developing and implementing a cohesive marketing strategy for the International Operations Department. Manage all the media coverage of the department in all regions through different media channels and ensure the development and implementation of the department's promotional and marketing plans of Abu Dhabi as outstanding, globally recognized, sustainable tourism destination. Key Responsibilities Public Relation Operations Manage responses to media and Lead on the preparation of press releases, publicity brochures, hand-outs, promotional videos and multimedia programs & ensure coverage in all regional markets in-line with the defined strategies and priorities. Lead on the media coverage of International Operations initiatives and activities (through media channels such as TV, Radio, newspaper etc.) and coordinate with DCT MarComms teams when needed while ensuring alignment with the strategies priorities and goals. Ensure an effective development and maintenance of a database for journalists and media representatives. Oversee the arrangements for spokespersons to appear on local television and radio programs in-line with the department mandate. Manage monitoring and overseeing newspapers, television news broadcasts and other outlets to track relevant data on International Operations and devises strategies to address misinformation. Liaise with stakeholders and compose press releases, write-ups and other required materials for PR in English & Arabic to ensure consistency across messages and lead on reviewing the draft of circulations and tracking of related press and video releases, briefing documents and media citations.

Marketing and Promotional Operations Lead the development of Marketing-led Country plans and activation of Abu Dhabi Marketing strategy for Leisure tourism in coordination with the MarComms Sector while ensuring alignment with the priorities. Monitor the execution of local marketing functions, including Media Planning, Buying, Social Media Mgmt., and lead on the conduction and benchmarking of Consumer Research. Lead on liaising with region's agencies and external parties, which work in the field of promoting and marketing tourism campaigns (e.g. GSAs) to best promote Abu Dhabi. Develop & implement a marketing strategy to promote Abu Dhabi as a leading tourism destination and increase visits from the respective region in the department. Collaborate closely with MarComms Sector (Strategy & Campaigns planning team), if required, to promote Abu Dhabi as a leading tourism destination aiming to increase the target audience. Ensure that consumer data & insights from in-market offices are consolidated and fed into Marketing Analytics function Lead on the establishment of a Joint Marketing Plans (JMPs) with Tour Operators and other relevant stakeholders, manage working relationship and monitor success to drive visits and specific segments to Abu Dhabi Closely collaborate with MarComms team in identifying key influencers and bloggers, establishing working relationships and coordinating fam trips to Abu Dhabi.

Shared Activity Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into section business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing sectional strategies. Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction. Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct manager. Manage and ensure effective implementation of functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned section activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Demonstrate compliance to organization's values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Tourism, or any other decree within relevant industry. Experience At least 5 to 7 years of experience PR and/or Marketing or any similar role, preferably in the tourism field. Proven experience in an international fast-paced and dynamic environment is preferred. Knowledge in the GCC landscape is preferred. Skills professional English proficiency both in speaking and writing Arabic bilingual desirable but not mandatory Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel) Administrative skills and attention to detail Self-motivated with a proven ability to complete work in a timely manner Expert knowledge on rebates schemes, preferably accustomed with UAE best practices Experience with business planning Extensive experience with program management related to finance and policy
