Purpose of the job
Responsible for putting in place and monitoring effectively in the AMEA perimeter:
An efficient and appropriate level of internal control to secure financial reporting and communication, control over construction and operations, compliance with law regulations and internal rules
Internal control compliance over the whole range of company processes through organizational reviews, business improvement reviews and application of the Group INCOME methodology
Reviewing as requested existing businesses, new acquisitions and developments in the context of business organization and internal control practices.
Key Accountabilities: Internal control related:
The function has the aim to promote a value proposition to its customers (GBU\'s) and to ensure that control objectives are met (within the AMEA HQ, Country offices and target project / operating companies). The function needs to:
(1) be creative but also challenging,
(2) ensure a right balance between performance and conformance,
(3) integrate and transform business/process to support/align with GBU strategy whilst respecting Group rules and ensuring compliance with law/regulations and the Group INCOME methodology.
Promote the implementation of Internal Control systems and procedures in conformance with the Group INCOME program, guidelines, best practices and tools at the HQ, Country offices and targeted project / operating companies. To that end:
Propose an annual plan for the Internal Control activities in the perimeter
Define and agree targeted project / operating companies and their INCOME scope.
Liaise with Local Management, Risk Management and Internal Audit (partners and Group) in order to align priorities (scoping) for a better control of relevant operational and financial risks
Co-ordinate the INCOME network of local ICC\'s (Internal Control Coordinators) and Business Process Owners within the perimeter
Define and deliver training for IC line in the perimeter
Promote sharing of good practices across the portfolio of assets within the perimeter
Play a key role with other departments to define and deliver the level of practical support/best practices which are required for new projects, new acquisitions and new offices especially during the startup phase of those projects.
Coordinate and monitor application of control environments and use INCOME to gain assurance that effective controls, processes and systems are in place.
Maintain and develop relationships to enable AMEA to enhance its influence on minority owned interest assets through appropriate application of corporate governance frameworks and activities.
Completion and reporting of the annual Internal Control Attestation letter
Monitoring of the evolution of the global level of maturity within the perimeter
Monitor the status and progress of Internal Control action plans
Provide periodic and annual reporting as per Group requirements by GBU
Advise on the scope of entities and processes that are included in the yearly testing to be performed by Internal Audit and Internal Control (Peer Reviews).
Participate and represent ENGIE in third party/partner/independent peer reviews
Degree/experience: University degree, MBA and/or CPA/Qualified Chartered Accountant Solid experience ( 10years) in finance.
