Role Summary
The role focuses on developing and executing regional communication strategies that align with IKEA's global brand values while addressing local market dynamics. It combines strategic leadership, visual communication expertise, consumer insight, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver consistent, impactful communication across stores, digital platforms, and marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead an integrated regional communication strategy covering stores, marketing campaigns, and internal sales support functions
Drive visual communication, graphic design, and multimedia solutions across all customer touchpoints
Map and analyze the regional communication channel landscape and content ecosystem
Establish and maintain a regional communication and digital publication content strategy
Collaborate closely with Digital teams, Inter IKEA, INGKA Group, and Service Office Marketing
Support country business plans by introducing communication strategies aligned with brand priorities
Ensure strong and consistent IKEA brand identity across all stores and customer touchpoints
Plan and deliver graphic solutions that support commercial priorities and seasonal calendars
Lead brochures, CRM materials, and publication processes in line with IKEA brand guidelines
Manage localization and translation of content to ensure clarity and cultural relevance
Oversee in-house content production including video, social media, and internal communication assets
Coach and support Store Graphic Communication Leaders to enhance the in-store customer experience
Share best practices and strengthen graphical communication competence across markets
Support store expansion projects with communication and design expertise
Ensure cost-efficient communication development without compromising quality
Ideal Profile
Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior or regional communications leadership role
Strong background in 360-degree communication, visual merchandising, or brand communication
Proven ability to translate global brand concepts into effective regional execution
Experience working in retail, lifestyle, or large multi-market environments preferred
Skills Set
Strong strategic thinking and leadership capabilities
Deep understanding of consumer behavior and buying patterns
Expertise in visual communication, graphic design, and content strategy
Ability to develop and execute communication plans using digital assets
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite CS6 on Mac and PC
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
