The Maintenance Refurbishment Technician plays a vital role in extending the lifecycle of assets by evaluating, refurbishing, and repurposing equipment that would otherwise be discarded.
This position supports sustainability initiatives by adhering to the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, while also contributing to cost-efficiency by minimizing CAPEX requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Asset Inspection and Evaluation
Conduct thorough inspections of assets marked for replacement or disposal to determine their current condition and potential for refurbishment.
Identify and catalog components from non-functional or discarded assets that can be repurposed or reused.
Asset Refurbishment and Reuse
Restore selected assets to full operational functionality in a safe, efficient, and quality-assured manner.
Reassemble usable parts from various discarded assets into cohesive, working systems when applicable.
Record Keeping and Reporting
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all assets inspected, categorized, and refurbished.
Prepare and submit comprehensive reports outlining refurbishment results, cost savings, and contributions to the organization's sustainability goals.
Continuous Improvement and Customer Focus
Actively seek opportunities to enhance processes and improve turnaround times on refurbishment tasks.
Strive to consistently deliver high-quality work that supports customer satisfaction and service excellence.
