Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on refrigeration
Inspect components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, motors, and thermostats.
Clean coils, replace filters, and check refrigerant levels.
Troubleshooting & Repair
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system failures.
Repair or replace faulty parts and equipment.
Locate and repair refrigerant leaks, recover and recharge refrigerants safely.
Test system performance and verify repairs.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs.
Report major issues or required upgrades to supervisors.
Follow company procedures and regulatory requirements for refrigerant handling.
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations (e.g., EPA/F-gas rules).
Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow lock-out/tag-out and other safety procedures.
Qualifications
Must have a driving license.
Certificate or diploma in Refrigeration, HVAC/R, or Mechanical Technology.
Valid Refrigerant Handing Certification (country-dependent).
Minimum 1-3 years experience in refrigeration or HVAC preferred.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
Skills & Competencies
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of refrigeration cycles and system components.
Electrical wiring and mechanical repair skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
