Job Description

Under the general direction of the Guest Relations Manager/Director of Guest Services and within the limits of the established InterContinental Hotels Group and local policies and procedures, responsible to liaise between operational departments to ensure that guest preferences are met and exceeded. Responsible for all activities relevant to the Guest Relations department such as VIP relations, rooming of guests, assisting with show rounds to achieve the highest possible guest satisfaction to current and future VIPs. \xc2\xa7 Promotes Inter-hotel sales, in house facilities and Food & Beverage outlets. \xc2\xa7 To be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest to maximize hotel sales. \xc2\xa7 Prepares requisitions for amenities on a timely basis and in an efficient and cost effective manner. \xc2\xa7 To be fully involved in achieving targeted Up-Selling Revenue. \xc2\xa7 Gain understanding of the departmental goals and financial targets and support Management team to achieve these targets. \xc2\xa7 Recycle whenever and wherever possible and enforce cost saving measures where appropriate specifically on stationary and hotel collateral material. \xc2\xa7 Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions mentioned within the Employee Handbook. \xc2\xa7 Comply with the company grooming standards \xc2\xa7 Comply with the time and attendance policies. \xc2\xa7 Actively participate in training and development programs and maximise opportunities for self development. \xc2\xa7 To carry out on the job training for new joiners under the direction of the Guest Relations Manager Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including: o Being attentive to guests, o Accurately and promptly fulfilling guests requests, o Anticipate guests needs, o Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the guest experience, o Demonstrating a \xe2\x80\x98service\xe2\x80\x99 attitude. \xc2\xa7 Present in the lobby, ensures each and every guest is greeted with a smile. Delivers sincere sense of \xc2\xa7 Welcome and hospitality to all guests passing through the lobby \xc2\xa7 Escorts guests to the rooms respecting hotel policy and procedures
  • Responsible and attends to guest\xe2\x80\x99s request of using the service of safety box at all times.
  • Is fully aware of restaurant operating hours and specials / Spa facilities and services as well as other recreation options.
Ideally, the candidate must possess previous work experience in a Front Office environment or equivalent. Is a team player and have strong verbal and written communication skills . He/She must be customer oriented, highly organized and is flexible to work in various shifts. Can speak Russian or Arabic language.
