Job Description

Education: Masters or PhD in Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is essential.
-Experience: minimum 15 years experience in resins industry, with a significant portion dedicated to unsaturated polyester resins or similar thermosetting polymers. Experience in a leadership or managerial role is required.
- R&D and product development: Lead development of new UPR formulations tailored for specific applications like composites, artificial marble, pipe grade, roofing sheet, boat grade , button grade, general purpose resins, SMC, etc. This includes innovating new products and optimising existing products for improved performance in properties including heat resistance, stability, flame retardancy and mechanical strength.
-Technical support and application testing: Serve as the primary technical expert for the company. Work with sales and marketing to provide technical consultation to customers, troubleshoot application issues, and conduct product testing.
- Quality and Process Optimization: Oversee quality control processes for production, testing methods, ensuring products meet international standards. Continuously seek to optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product consistency.
- Quality Assurance (QA) - Responsible for QA for entire product portfolio of the company. Includes developing and executing SOPs related to QA as well as QA team management.
- Raw material testing - Validation and testing of existing and new raw materials to improve product performance and reduce costs.
- Manage a team of a chemists and lab technicians.
