CS-465 Risk Reviewer - Rail Viaduct EWI are supporting a prominent engineering firm who seeking a highly skilled On-Site Engineer with expertise in conducting Rail Viaduct Risk Reviews in alignment with CS-465 guidelines for the management of post-tensioned concrete bridges. The primary focus of this role is to conduct a comprehensive risk assessment on viaduct spans within the Metro rail system in the GCC region. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the operator in their efforts to ensure adherence to CS-465 standards and enhance the safety and longevity of these vital transportation assets. This is a temporary role with a duration of 3-6 months, which is subject to immediate commencement. The position will be located in the GCC region, and accommodation and per diem expenses will be covered by the company The project involves the assessment of a long-standing Metro rail system, operational for over 12 years in the GCC region, to ensure compliance with CS-465 standards. Your expertise and contributions will be instrumental in enhancing the safety and resilience of these critical transportation assets. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a thorough Rail Viaduct Risk Review based on CS-465 standards for post-tensioned concrete bridges.
- Gather, evaluate, and analyse the following information to complete the risk review:
- As-built drawings and construction records.
- Post-Tensioned Structure Inspection (PTSI) reports.
- Special Inspection (SI) reports pertaining to post-tensioned elements.
- The most recent Principal Inspection (PI) and General Inspection (GI) reports.
- Monitoring reports related to post-tensioned elements.
- Load assessment reports.
- Reports and records in compliance with CS-470 standards.
- Maintenance records.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and prioritize areas of concern, maintenance, or remediation.
- Generate detailed risk assessment reports and provide recommendations for necessary actions.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in conducting risk reviews for rail viaducts, with a focus on post-tensioned concrete bridges.
- In-depth knowledge of CS-465 and CS-470 guidelines.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
- Strong communication and reporting abilities.
