The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

Provide and maintain the highest standard of individualized and holistic patient care

Undertake Radiology procedures in the delivery of patient care

Be responsible for the maintenance of stock level of medicine used in the daily practice

Prepare the patients for their procedures

Monitor the patients' recovery and discharge after the procedures

Identify deteriorating patients and take appropriate action to manage an emergency and summon assistance immediately whenever necessary

Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date

Demonstrate an enquiring approach to patient care

Educate patients, relatives, and staff as necessary

Obtain patients' consent for the activities to be undertaken

Keep accurate and complete records of activities, outcomes, and communications, consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures

Be responsible for disseminating DHA policies and information as required

Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to evidence-based practice

Monitor the quality of work on own area and alert others to quality issues

Promote high standards of infection control with adherence to policies and guidelines

Respect patient confidentiality

Timely input patient data in the correct form and manner onto the computer system

Familiarize him/herself with and comply with the DHA's policies and procedures

Identify and report any untoward accident, incident, or potentially hazardous environment, as necessary

Minimise risks to health safety and security

Requirements

A valid DHA licence.

At least two-year experience as a registered nurse. Experience working in a Radiology Department is a privilege.

A valid Basic Life Support BLS course.

Skilled in cannulation and venipuncture,

A working knowledge of radiation safety, and all aspects of occupational health and safety and infection control

An in-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to always follow them

UAE experience is an asset
