Job Title: Radiation Oncologist

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient consultations and examinations to determine the appropriate radiation therapy treatment
- Interpret imaging tests and scans to accurately diagnose and stage cancer
- Develop and oversee treatment plans based on patient's medical history, physical examination, and test results
- Administer and monitor radiation treatments with precision and accuracy
- Manage any side effects or complications from radiation therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other specialists in the oncology department to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and techniques in radiation therapy through continuous education and training programs
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options, potential risks, and the importance of follow-up care
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with specialization in Radiation Oncology
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Radiation Oncologist
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in administering various methods of radiation therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Proven record of providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients
- Proficient in using advanced medical equipment and software for treatment planning and delivery
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures
- Willingness to work long and irregular hours as needed
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
