Project Cost Control & Monitoring Engineer (SAP Integration)

Location: Qatar

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking experienced

Project Cost Control & Monitoring Engineers

with strong

SAP S/4HANA integration expertise

to ensure all project cost control and monitoring processes fully comply with our business requirements.

These professionals will act as the bridge between

Candy Estimation

and

SAP Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)

-- ensuring accurate project cost tracking, billing, and reporting across all EPC projects.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in

Engineering

,

Quantity Surveying

, or a related field.

5-7 years' project estimation experience

in EPC environments.

Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP implementation

in EPC project settings.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

a) CBS Development & Maintenance

Translate Candy estimate files into SAP CBS structures for all projects. Align CBS with the company Chart of Accounts and project WBS. Ensure compliance with internal job valuation processes.

b) Project Cost Reporting

Configure CBS for monthly, YTD, budget, commitments, actuals, and variance reporting. Support automated project statements and dashboards.

c) Project Billing & Invoicing

Map CBS structures to project invoicing cycles (advances, milestones, progress claims). Ensure compliance with invoicing and progress claim requirements.

d) Advance & Recovery Management

Administer multiple advances and milestone-based recoveries within SAP.

e) Material Cost Tracking

Integrate CBS with material management to capture:

+ Returned project-specific materials.
+ Inter-project material transfers (with debit/credit adjustments).

f) Internal Billing Integration

Ensure CBS includes internal cost allocations from:

+ Plant & Machinery billing.
+ Scaffolding, site facilities, and other support services.
+ Sub-project progress-based billing.

g) Revenue Recognition

Align CBS with revenue recognition rules based on progress, milestones, or contractual agreements.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong background in

Project Cost Control and Monitoring

within EPC projects. Proven expertise in

Candy Estimation Software

and

CBS structuring

. Hands-on experience with

SAP S/4HANA Project Systems & Costing modules

. In-depth understanding of

project billing

,

inter-departmental cost allocation

, and

revenue recognition

. Advanced analytical and reporting skills using

Excel

and

Power BI

. * Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with Estimation, Planning, Cost Management, and IT teams.
