Position : Estimation Engineer- Mechanical

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Estimation Engineer(Mechanical) will be responsible for preparing complete,


accurate estimates for all contract types (EPC& Construction ) in Oil & Gas, Chemical/


Petrochemical and Fertilizer Projects


Estimation experience in Onshore as well as Offshore Projects is desired.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Prepare detailed accurate material, labor, equipment, subcontracts,


construction facilities for Mechanical Scope which includes, Steel Structure,


Mechanical Equipment(Static & Rotating), Piping & Specialities, Pipeline &


Components..


? Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal meetings and site visits and prepare Site Visit


reports.


? Assist the Sr. Engineer / Proposals Manager to Develop detailed EPC Scope


Matrix covering all Engineering Deliverables required as per Tender scope


covering all Disciplines i.e Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical,


Instrumentation and Telecom.


? Prepare RFQ Packages for Obtaining Procurement quotes for all items as per


Tender Scope under Mechanical.


? Assist in Preparation of Prebid Technical Clarification requests for obtaining


Client Clarification responses.


? Coordinate with all disciplines i.e Civil, Electrical and Instrumentation for


obtaining inputs and assist the Sr. Engineer for Compilation of the complete


Technical and Commercial Proposal.


? Prepare RFQ Packages for obtaining Subcontractor Quotes and Send the


RFQ's , Obtain Subcontractor quotes.


? Assist the Sr. Engineer to Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work


and accept, review, and analyze subcontractor quotes for best value .


? Assist the Sr. Engineer to Prepare project bid status reports and ensure


compliance with all specifications and contract Statements of Work and Bid


Invitations.


? Provide inputs and Supporting documents to Sr. Engineer/ Proposals manager


to Prepare detailed Cost Estimates for complete EPC scope for Mechanical


discipline providing consideration for Tender Scope, Specifications ,general and


special conditions.


? Perform quantity take-offs, prepare cost estimate detailed breakdown and


summary sheets for review with the Head of Proposals.


? Assist the Sr. Engineer for Preparation of Project Execution plans/Method


Statements for Technical Proposal.


? Utilize the appropriate company norms/ Industry historical norms for pricing


estimates for arriving at Resources such as Labour manhours for Fabrication


and Erection.


? Provide inputs to the planning for Project Schedule with respect to Engineering


durations, Procurement deliveries and Construction durations, Review the


schedule for alignment with Tender Milestones.


? Assist/ Compile complete Technical and Commercial Proposal for Management


review and onward submission to client.


? Prepare Technical Presentation for client Clarification meetings.


? Prepare Post Contract award Execution Budget, Handover Documents, Review


Contract Draft and identify/Highlight any deviation from the Tender Submission.

PREREQUISITES

?

Graduate Degree in Engineering


? 3-5 years Related Estimating Experience in Oil and Gas Projects with atleast 3


to 5 years of Field exposure/ Project execution.


? Conversant in engineering and Construction nomenclature to effectively


communicate with Engineers,


? Strong analytical skills


? Excellent Verbal and written communication skills


? Strong attention to detail .


? Ability to read, understand and organize construction plans and specifications


? Strong organizational and problem solving skills


? Ability to work independently and prioritize and work well under pressure to


meet established deadlines


? Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Power Point, Word,


Outlook)
