Managing project costs, preparing budgets, and estimating costs for materials, labor, and equipment from the initial design phase through completion.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project plans.
Calculate and estimate the cost and quantity of materials, labor, and equipment.
Draft, manage, and administer contracts.
Prepare tender packages and bills of quantities (BOQs).
Negotiate with and hire contractors and subcontractors.
Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
Track changes to plans and update budgets accordingly.
Monitor construction work, manage payments, and prepare cost reports.
Serve as a liaison between clients, project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Attend meetings and conduct site visits to monitor progress and address issues.
Identify and assess financial and construction risks.
Implement value engineering techniques to optimize costs.
