This role involves close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure projects are completed within budget and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review
cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ)
.
Conduct
cost analysis and risk assessment
for projects.
Manage
tendering processes
, including preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with subcontractors and suppliers.
Monitor project expenditures and provide
cost control
throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare
interim and final payment certificates
.
Assess and manage
variations, claims, and change orders
.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
Prepare regular financial and progress reports for management and clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in
Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
.
Proven experience as a
Quantity Surveyor
in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of
cost estimation, tendering, and contract management
.
Familiarity with
FIDIC and other contract standards
is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and
.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
