We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a vital role in managing project costs and ensuring project success. You will be responsible for estimating, analyzing, and controlling costs throughout the construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning to project completion. Responsibilities - Prepare accurate bills of quantities (BOQs) for steel construction projects, including detailed breakdowns of materials, labor, and equipment costs. - Analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential cost risks and opportunities for value engineering. - Estimate project costs using industry-standard software and methodologies. - Negotiate and finalize contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. - Monitor and control project budgets throughout construction, identifying and reporting any cost variances. - Prepare cost reports for project stakeholders, highlighting progress and potential cost implications. - Assist with claims management and dispute resolution processes. - Maintain accurate cost records and documentation. - Work collaboratively with Sales, architects, engineers, project managers. - Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and cost control procedures. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. - Strong understanding of steel construction methods, materials, and costs. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent time management and organizational skills. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - A valid driver's license may be required.
