Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Construction Industry)



Job Summary:



We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage costs, budgets, and financial aspects of construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will ensure project costs are controlled, contracts are well-managed, and all commercial activities are aligned with company standards and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Cost Management & Estimation



Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and budgets for construction projects. Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Conduct cost forecasting and value engineering to ensure cost efficiency.

2. Tendering & Procurement



Prepare tender documents and evaluate contractor/sub-contractor quotations. Participate in negotiation and selection of vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Review and compare material and labor rates.

3. Contract Management



Prepare, review, and manage contract agreements. Monitor contract variations, claims, and change orders. Ensure compliance with contractual terms and project requirements.

4. Site Coordination & Progress Monitoring



Conduct site visits to verify work progress and match with BOQs. Measure quantities on-site and prepare interim payment certificates (IPC). Track project expenses and ensure projects remain within approved budgets.

5. Reporting & Documentation



Prepare cost reports, cash flow projections, and expense tracking reports. Maintain proper documentation for all commercial and contractual records. Provide financial insights and risk analysis for management decision-making.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost control, and tendering processes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS software . Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Strong understanding of FIDIC standards and UAE construction regulations (if applicable).

Attention to detail and strong numerical ability. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Team player with good coordination and documentation skills.
