Job Description

The Quantity Surveyor (Post Contract) will be responsible for managing all aspects of post-contract commercial and cost management for interior fit-out projects. This includes cost control, variation management, subcontractor coordination, interim valuations and final account preparation. The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, analyze and manage work variation costs; provide recommendations and ensure approvals are obtained in a timely manner.

Conduct project costing and fit-out costing, quantitative and qualitative estimation, and prepare interim valuations and payment certificates.

Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial and contractual risks; implement effective value engineering and cost control strategies.

Prepare compensation events, claims for additional works, and time extension justifications in coordination with project and planning teams.

Conduct site measurements, valuations, and quantity take-offs; verify material quantities and ensure compliance with project scope.

Prepare and regularly update the project variation tracker and share it with the concerned departments for cost monitoring and reporting.

Prepare cost-value reconciliations (CVR) and other commercial reports for ongoing projects to track profitability and performance.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships and good networking within the Dubai fit-out market.

Prepare cost estimates for budgeting and feasibility studies; conduct market enquiries and analyse pricing trends.

Prepare and finalize project claims and accounts in accordance with contract terms and company standards.

Maintain updated price lists and conduct cost-benefit analyses of in-house resources versus subcontracting options.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.

2- 8 years

of post-contract experience in

interior fit-out projects

within the UAE. Proficiency in

MS Excel, AutoCAD and quantity surveying software

. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
