Position Overview
The Quantity Surveyor role at Azizi Developments supports the tendering and pre-contract phase of infrastructure projects by delivering accurate quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, and cost estimates. This position plays a key role in ensuring competitive, compliant, and commercially sound bids aligned with UAE market trends, authority standards, and Azizi's infrastructure development strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret tender drawings, technical specifications, scopes of work, and authority guidelines
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities in accordance with CESMM3 and CESMM4 standards
• Perform quantity take-offs from IFC and preliminary design drawings for infrastructure works
• Prepare high-level and detailed cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor inputs
• Coordinate with design consultants and internal engineering teams to clarify scope and quantities
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure technical and commercial compliance
• Coordinate with planning, procurement, and construction teams throughout the tendering process
• Ensure pricing is aligned with current UAE market trends and local authority standards including RTA, DM, DEWA, Etisalat, and other relevant authorities
• Maintain and update unit rate databases, productivity benchmarks, and cost libraries
• Assist in preparing commercial submissions, pricing breakdowns, and cost summaries for tenders
• Support value engineering initiatives and propose cost optimization alternatives
• Participate in site visits, tender briefings, and technical meetings as required
• Prepare and manage technical and commercial queries during the bidding process

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
• Minimum eight years of relevant experience in the UAE
• Background in cost consultancy or contracting within infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of CESMM measurement methods and UAE infrastructure standards
• Experience dealing with local authorities and infrastructure approval processes
• Strong analytical, numerical, and commercial evaluation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven tendering environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
