Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage cost control activities across design, tendering, and construction stages
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and assist in developing tender documents with design and consultancy teams
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, and services
  • Review and optimize project cost estimates while maintaining quality standards
  • Prepare procurement cost calculations and support tender processes from scope creation to contract award
  • Coordinate with Finance on fund approvals, budget transfers, and variation orders
  • Verify contractor invoices through on-site measurement and ensure contract compliance
  • Support claims management and ensure proper evaluation and documentation
  • Participate in vendor selection and performance assessment
  • Conduct site visits to verify compliance with specifications and project requirements
  • Prepare and present cost reports, highlighting variances and financial performance
  • Approve final contractor payments and close-out documentation
  • Identify non-compliant materials or services and ensure corrective action
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and quality standards
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Master's degree in Quantity Surveying or Business Administration preferred
  • 7 years of quantity surveying experience in retail, commercial, or construction projects
  • Strong capability in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and contract administration
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • Skilled in financial analysis, budgeting, and claims verification
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS software such as CostX or Primavera
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
