Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Estimator
Reports to: Project Manager/Estimator Team Lead
Location: Dubai UAE
Candidate Location: UAE
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Quantity Estimation: Accurately estimate material quantities required for projects, considering specifications and architectural drawings for facade solutions like curtain walls, fixed windows, and shower partitions.
- Quotation Preparation: Develop and manage quotations, ensuring timely completion and accuracy in cost estimates.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze project data to optimize planning and resource allocation, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure project success.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying or estimating, preferably in the glass, metal, and aluminum industry.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Strong knowledge of facade materials, systems, and construction methods
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and drafting
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: RICS certification or equivalent
- Software proficiency: Experience with estimating software and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Industry knowledge: Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and standards
