Job Description
Job Summary
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, contract administration, and financial management of construction projects. The role ensures projects are delivered within budget, in compliance with contractual requirements, and aligned with UAE construction standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Estimation
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ). Monitor project costs and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluate variations, claims, and change orders. Conduct value engineering to optimize project costs.
Contracts & Procurement
Prepare, review, and administer contracts (FIDIC-based contracts preferred). Assist in tender preparation, analysis, and award recommendations. Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate rates. Manage subcontractor payments and final accounts.
Measurement & Valuation
Measure works executed on-site and certify interim payment applications. Prepare monthly valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts. Assess contractor and supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance.
Project Coordination
Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients. Attend site meetings and commercial review meetings. Support project planning by providing accurate cost data.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, contract conditions, and company procedures. Maintain proper documentation for audits and claims. Prepare final accounts and close-out reports upon project completion.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum
1-2 years of experience
in construction projects within the UAE. Strong knowledge ofUAE construction practices and local market rates
. Proficiency inAutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software
.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
