Job Description

We Modular Design Engineering Consultants are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Quantity Surveyor

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, project budgeting, and ensuring cost control throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities



1. Cost Estimation & Budgeting



Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and project budgets according to UAE standards. Conduct cost planning and value engineering to optimize project expenditure. Monitor project costs and ensure alignment with approved budgets.

2. Tendering & Contract Management



Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Assist in preparation of tender documents and contracts. Review and negotiate contract terms in compliance with UAE laws and FIDIC or local contract standards.

3. Cost Control & Monitoring



Track project expenditures and perform cost control analysis. Monitor variations, change orders, and claims. Recommend corrective measures to prevent cost overruns.

4. Project Valuation & Payments



Prepare interim valuations and progress payment certificates. Assist in final account preparation and settlement. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for projects.

5. Site Measurement & Documentation



Conduct regular site measurements and quantity take-offs. Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and subcontractor activities. Prepare reports and documentation for management, clients, and auditors.

6. Risk Management



Identify financial and contractual risks on projects. Advise management on cost implications and mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, standards, and safety requirements.

7. Coordination & Communication



Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients. Resolve discrepancies and disputes related to costs, contracts, and scope. Provide clear and timely communication regarding cost-related matters.

8. Compliance & Standards



Ensure adherence to UAE construction laws, local authority regulations, and FIDIC contract conditions. Stay updated on UAE market rates, materials, and labor costs. Promote best practices in quantity surveying and financial management.

Qualifications & Requirements



Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in QS (construction experience preferred). Strong knowledge of cost control, contract management & project documentation. Proficiency in QS software (AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, etc.) is an advantage. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Salary:



Will be discussed during the interview (based on experience, qualifications, and negotiation).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
