Job Description

Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: Minimum 6 years in Dubai, including at least 1.5 years with an engineering consultancy and proven site-based experience

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost estimation, tender analysis, and contract administration, with a strong background in engineering consultancy and on-site project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents

Conduct quantity take-offs and cost control throughout project lifecycle

Evaluate contractor claims and variations

Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with project specifications

Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate reporting

Provide commercial advice and risk assessments during design and execution phases

Conduct regular site visits to verify progress, measurements, and compliance with contractual terms

Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to ensure alignment between commercial and technical aspects

Requirements:

Minimum 6 years of experience in Dubai as a Quantity Surveyor

At least 1.5 years with an engineering consultancy in the UAE

At least 1 year as post contract QS

Proven site-based experience on construction or infrastructure projects

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field

Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE market rates

Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Candy, CostX, Excel)

Excellent communication and reporting skills

UAE driving license is a plus
