JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are hiring a

QS (Quantity Surveyor)who can manage all cost

contractual aspects of construction projects, from initial estimates to final payments.

This include preparing cost estimates and budgets, managing contracts, monitoring project finances, and ensuring projects stay within budget while meeting quality and legal standards. This role requires a blend of strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills, and involves working with various stakeholders like clients, architects, and contractors.

Key duties and responsibilities

Cost estimation and budgeting

: Reviewing architectural plans to prepare detailed cost estimates, calculating material and labor needs, and setting budgets for projects.

Contract and procurement management

: Preparing and negotiating contracts, managing payments to contractors, and ensuring adherence to contractual terms.

Financial control

: Tracking project costs, managing budgets and contingency funds, and preparing financial reports and accounts.

Risk and compliance

: Identifying financial and construction risks, advising on legal and regulatory compliance, and ensuring health and safety standards are followed.

Liaison and communication

: Acting as a liaison between clients, engineers, architects, and contractors to resolve issues and maintain clear communication.

Project monitoring

: Monitoring costs at every stage of the project, documenting progress, and updating budgets as needed.

Required skills and qualifications

Strong analytical and numerical skills. Minimum experience should be

3-4

years in with Main Contractors

Bachelors degree

in relevant field is required . Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Attention to detail.

Proficiency with relevant software for cost tracking and estimation. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contracts. Ability to understand and interpret legal and regulatory requirements
