The Quantity Surveyor (QS) will manage project costs across both civil and MEP works, ensuring accurate estimates, cost control, and contract compliance from inception to completion. This role requires expertise in both structural/construction works and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and BOQs for both civil and MEP works.
Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
Review tender documents, contractor proposals, and variations for civil and MEP scopes.
Assist in contract negotiations, procurement, and claims management.
Track variations, change orders, and cost-saving opportunities across civil and MEP works.
Conduct interim valuations, progress payments, and final accounts.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and consultants to ensure accurate cost reporting.
Maintain detailed records of costs, contracts, and project documentation.
Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for management review.
Ensure compliance with UAE construction standards, codes, and regulations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5-7 years of UAE experience in both civil and MEP quantity surveying.
Experience in villa, residential, or large-scale construction projects.
Proficient in QS software (AutoCAD, CostX, MS Excel, or similar).
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering, and procurement processes.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and labor laws.
