+ Conduct contract reviews with the project team upon contract award, including all downstream sub-contractors
+ Ensure the project team understands the commercial and contractual terms of the agreement.
Procurement & Subcontractor Management:
+ Review all Procurement subcontractor packages (e.g., rigging, , fabrication, installation services) in line with company policies, securing the best commercial terms.
+ Assess, value, and authorize subcontractor payments based on completed work and contractual terms.
Project Valuation & Financial Control:
+ Measure and assess the value of work completed on-site, ensuring all AV installations, equipment deliveries, and commissioning milestones are accounted for.
+ Prepare and submit
valuations, progress applications, and invoices
in line with the project contract terms.
+ Produce accurate monthly cost reports and financial forecasts, tracking performance against project budgets.
+ Develop and maintain project cash flow forecasts to support financial planning.
Change Control & Variations:
+ Identify, notify, and track changes, variations, and compensation events as soon as they arise, in accordance with contract requirements.
+ Prepare estimates and quotations for additional works, ensuring maximum commercial return.
+ Assess and negotiate the value of changes to maintain profitability.
Commercial Administration:
+ Maintain accurate cost records in collaboration with the
Project Manager
and
Site Manager
.
+ Manage and oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of the project, acting as the main point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
+ Support the project accounting team with monthly performance and financial reporting.
+ Assist in negotiating and agreeing final accounts to ensure maximum value retention upon project completion.
Site Visits & Compliance:
+ Conduct regular site visits to ensure completed work is accurately measured and any new opportunities are identified.
Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management:
+ Build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
+ Provide commercial insights to senior leadership, advising on potential improvements, strategies, and risk mitigation.
Team Development:
+ Oversee, mentor, and support
Assistant Quantity Surveyors
and other junior team members, fostering professional development and growth.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
Qualifications:
Professional qualification in
Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
.
Contract Knowledge:
Working knowledge of industry-standard contracts, including
NEC, JCT, or bespoke AV contracts
.
Financial & Commercial Expertise:
+ Experience managing budgets, cost reports, and forecasting for technical projects.
+ Ability to
analyze, measure, and value
work completed in line with contract terms.
+ Skilled in negotiating with clients and subcontractors to maximize commercial outcomes.
Strong Soft Skills:
+ Excellent numerical, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
+ Strong communicator, able to collaborate with project teams, clients, and suppliers.

IT Literacy:
Proficient in
