Tendering & Procurement:
Managing the tendering process, evaluating bids, and procuring materials and subcontractors.
Contract Administration:
Handling contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, managing variations, and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
Cost Control & Reporting:
Monitoring project costs, identifying potential cost overruns, and providing regular cost reports and financial analysis.
Risk Management:
Identifying and mitigating risks related to cost, schedule, and quality.
Value Engineering:
Identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising design or quality.
Liaison & Communication:
Collaborating with project managers, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and budgets.
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is typically required.
Experience:
Proven experience in quantity surveying, particularly within the interior fit-out industry, is crucial.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost management principles.
Negotiation & Communication Skills:
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions.
