The Civil Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control of civil engineering and construction projects. The role ensures that projects are delivered within budget, aligned with contractual obligations, and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare
cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents
for civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Conduct
feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments
.
Evaluate contractor quotations and conduct
rate analysis
.
Monitor
project costs, budget, and expenditures
to ensure financial efficiency.
Prepare and review
contracts, variations, and claims
in line with project requirements.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and consultants for accurate project cost planning.
Maintain accurate documentation and cost records for auditing and reporting purposes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in
Civil Engineering
or
Quantity Surveying
.
Minimum
5+ years of experience
in civil engineering / infrastructure projects.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
UPDA/MMUP certification (preferred for Qatar projects).
