We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Quantity Surveyor
to manage all aspects of contractual and financial side of construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost planning, estimating, budgeting, and contract administration from project inception to completion.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to ensure that project costs are accurately forecasted and controlled, and that financial risks are minimized.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage
project budgets, cost estimates, and bills of quantities (BOQs)
based on drawings and specifications.
Conduct
cost analysis
and provide
value engineering
recommendations to optimize project expenses.
Manage
tendering processes
, including preparing tender documents, analyzing bids, and evaluating subcontractor pricing.
Monitor project expenditures and maintain cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
Negotiate and manage
contracts, variations, and change orders
with contractors and suppliers.
Prepare
interim payment applications, final accounts
, and project financial reports.
Conduct
site visits
to monitor progress and validate completed work for billing purposes.
Provide advice on
contractual claims and dispute resolution
.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Support procurement teams with
material quantity take-offs
and price evaluations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management
, or related field.
3-7 years of experience
as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, infrastructure, or property development.
Strong understanding of
construction methods, contracts (FIDIC, NEC, JCT, etc.)
, and project cost control.
Proficient in
MS Excel
,
AutoCAD
, and
cost estimating software
(e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Candy, or similar).
Strong
numerical, analytical, and negotiation
skills.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Membership in a professional body (e.g.,
RICS, AIQS, CIQS
) is a plus.
Preferred Attributes
Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Familiarity with
local building codes and construction regulations

Experience working in
commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects
