To manage all costs relating to steel structure projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the required standards while maximizing value for money.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for steel structure projects.
Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to determine material and labor requirements.
Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Track project costs, variations, and prepare interim payment applications and final accounts.
Evaluate subcontractor quotations and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.Maintain detailed records of all financial aspects of the project.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure effective cost control.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 year experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a steel structure company.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and cost management software.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
