Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time, while also maintaining quality standards.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects using tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications and drawings to determine accurate pricing. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to assess project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions. Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process, ensuring adherence to budgets. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms. Manage change orders and variations in project scope, providing updated cost assessments as necessary. Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with project specifications. Prepare reports on financial status, including forecasts of future costs and budgetary needs.

Skills

Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is essential. Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts and supplier relationships. In-depth knowledge of cost control processes within the construction industry. Experience in construction management with a solid understanding of contracts and pricing strategies. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with construction site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments.
