We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control for construction and real estate projects. The Quantity Surveyor will ensure that projects are delivered within budget, provide accurate cost advice, and support project teams in making informed financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for construction projects.
Manage project costs throughout the lifecycle, including tendering, procurement, and contract administration.
Conduct cost analysis and prepare detailed reports to support decision-making.
Evaluate contractor quotations and prepare bills of quantities (BOQ).
Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Identify, assess, and manage financial risks related to construction projects.
Certify progress payments, variations, and final accounts.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Provide advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, construction materials, and industry trends.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB, AIQS) is an advantage.
Proven experience in cost estimation and project financial management.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and tendering procedures.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and cost management software (e.g., Candy, CostX, Primavera).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
