Thoroughly Measure and calculate material costs independently, utilizing expertise in joinery and fit-out industry standards.
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate material take-offs and costings.
Participate in value engineering and cost optimization exercises to maximize project profitability without compromising quality.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and verify quantities on-site
Update and maintain a cost database for internal reference and future projects.
Monitor project budgets and prepare cost reports throughout project life cycles.
Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator role within the interior design and fit-out industry.
*Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and finishes specific to interiors.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software such as PlanSwift or similar.
Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and market prices.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
