Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Quantity Surveyor

with a

Civil Engineering background

to manage the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction costs, contracts, and industry standards, with at least

5 years of experience

in the construction or infrastructure sector. The role focuses on ensuring projects are delivered within budget, while maintaining compliance with quality and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects including materials, labor, plant, and overheads. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and contract conditions. Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, and assist in contract negotiations. Monitor project expenditures and provide regular cost reports and forecasts. Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project efficiency and savings. Perform on-site measurements and prepare valuations for interim payments. Process and review payment applications and invoices for contractors and suppliers. Identify, assess, and manage variations and claims in coordination with the site team. Advise on cost impact of design and scope changes throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in dispute resolution and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations. Maintain accurate records of project progress, costs, and variations for final accounts.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in

Civil Engineering

Experience:

Minimum

5 years of experience

as a Quantity Surveyor in the

construction or infrastructure

sector. Proven track record in managing cost control, tendering, and contract administration for civil works.
