We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Quality Coordinator to champion and oversee the comprehensive Quality Management System for our Diagnostic Radiology and Laboratory services. This role is central to maintaining and enhancing our JCI accreditation Process and achieving ISO 15189 certification for the laboratory. You will be the driving force behind continuous improvement, ensuring all diagnostic services operate at the highest international standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as the coordinator for Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation standards applicable to Diagnostic Services.
2. Lead the project for ISO 15189:2012 (Medical Laboratories) certification, including gap analysis, document control, and implementation of the Quality Management System.
3. Ensure ongoing compliance with UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) regulations.
4. Manage all accreditation and certification cycles, including pre-survey readiness, internal audits, and on-site survey coordination.
5. Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Manual, policies, SOPs, and records for Radiology and Laboratory in line with JCI, ISO 15189, and local standards.
6. Establish and monitor Quality Indicators (QIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Analyze data on: Laboratory: Turnaround Time (TAT), specimen rejection rates, proficiency testing (EQAS) performance, critical value reporting.& Radiology: Imaging repeat/reject analysis, patient dose optimization, report accuracy and TAT, incident reporting.
7. Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Risk Management (e.g., FMEA) for adverse events, non-conformities, and near-misses.
8. Plan and conduct regular internal audits as per ISO 15189 and JCI requirements. Schedule audits for imaging modalities and lab sections.
9. Manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program, ensuring timely closure and effectiveness checks.
10. Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance records, and environmental monitoring compliance.
11. Design and deliver training programs to embed a culture of quality and safety. Train staff on QMS documentation, audit preparedness, and new procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare management, quality management, Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS), Radiology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
Minimum 2-3 years of progressive experience in healthcare quality, with a diagnostic setting (Lab and/or Radiology).
Hands-on experience with JCI accreditation processes. Direct involvement in ISO 15189 implementation or maintenance is highly preferred.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), ISO 15189 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor will be an advantage.
