The Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities, materials, and workmanship meet the company's quality standards and comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. The role involves site inspections, documentation, and coordination with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to maintain high construction quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and tests on materials, construction processes, and finished works to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Review project specifications, drawings, and method statements for proper implementation.
Monitor and report non-conformances, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Maintain and update all QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and quality checklists.
Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors for inspection and approval of completed works.
Verify materials delivered to the site comply with approved submittals and standards.
Ensure calibration and proper use of testing equipment.
Support the QA/QC Engineer in preparing quality plans and audit reports.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Participate in internal and external audits and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Quality Control within the construction industry.
Sound knowledge of construction materials, standards (ASTM, BS, ISO, etc.), and quality procedures.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant quality management software.
