Inspection & Monitoring
Inspect raw timber for defects, moisture content, and suitability before finger jointing.
Monitor finger joint cutting, adhesive application, pressing, and curing processes.
Conduct dimensional checks on joint profiles, alignment, and bonding strength.
Testing & Verification
Perform regular destructive and non-destructive testing of finger joints (e.g., pull strength, breakage points).
Ensure adhesives are mixed and applied according to specifications.
Verify compliance with production drawings, standards, and customer requirements.
Quality Assurance
Record and analyze production data, highlighting deviations and defects.
Approve or reject products based on inspection results.
Identify root causes of defects and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
Process Control
Ensure machines are calibrated and operators follow quality procedures.
Collaborate with production teams to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Maintain proper documentation of quality records, checklists, and reports.
