Job Title: Quality Controller Inspector (Site-Based)

The

Quality Controller Inspector

is responsible for ensuring that all site activities comply with the project's quality standards, specifications, and relevant codes. This role involves inspecting materials, workmanship, and processes on-site, identifying non-conformities, and ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Monitoring:

Conduct daily inspections of site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Monitor work progress and verify that all construction activities adhere to approved method statements and ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans).

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and maintain quality records. Verify material certifications, test reports, and ensure proper documentation of inspections.

Coordination:

Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance. Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors for joint inspections and approvals.

Corrective & Preventive Actions:

Identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions. Follow up on implementation of corrective and preventive measures to close out NCRs.

Standards & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with project specifications, local codes, international standards (ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, etc.). Promote quality awareness among site personnel.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

Adhere to HSE policies and procedures during all inspection activities. Report unsafe practices observed during inspections.

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering field.

Certifications

- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor (preferred)
- CSWIP, NACE, or equivalent certifications (for specialized industries like welding/coating)
- Local Quality Inspector licenses (if required)

Experience

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in site quality inspection, preferably in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, or manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with ITPs, Method Statements, and QC procedures.

Skills

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of materials, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and QA/QC documentation tools.
