Job Summary

The QC Engineer/Inspector for the Fabrication Division is responsible for ensuring that all fabricated components and structures meet company and client quality standards. This includes overseeing inspections at various stages of the fabrication process, identifying non-conformities, and working closely with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated items (welded structures, sheet metal parts, etc.) per applicable codes and customer requirements. Review and interpret fabrication drawings, WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), and QC documentation. Monitor welding activities and ensure welds meet relevant standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO). Perform dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.). Verify materials and consumables used in fabrication meet required specifications. Maintain and update inspection records, test reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Coordinate with third-party inspectors or client representatives when required. Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the fabrication process. Participate in internal and external audits and assist in quality improvement initiatives. 2-5 years of experience in quality control within a fabrication/manufacturing environment.

Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), CSWIP, or equivalent (preferred). Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding processes, and inspection methods. Proficient in using measuring instruments and inspection tools. Strong attention to detail and good communication skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and QC documentation.

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED1,500.00 per month
