Job Description

Work in Kuwait is contingent upon the applicant's ability to obtain a work permit from the State of Kuwait, which is requested on the applicant's behalf by their employer. Effective January 1, 2021, the Kuwait Public Authority of Manpower issued new work permit regulations, informing contractors that it will not issue a work permit to any individual who is fifty-nine (59) years or older and holds a high school grade certificate or less. A two-year college degree or higher is required for all candidates fifty-nine (59) years or older. See Administrative Decision No. (520) of 2020 AD - Amendment to the Administrative Decision No. (552) of 2018 on Issuing the Work Permit Regulations.

Purpose: Oversee the APS-5 internal quality audit and document control processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide supervisory oversight of quality auditor and document control staff. Supervisory tasks include, but are not limited to, conducting employee orientation and training; assigning work; evaluating performance; counseling and taking corrective action; reviewing and approving time records; reviewing and approving leave requests; resolving complaints; developing the staff; coaching / motivating to establish an effective team; participating in or conducting meetings; preparing reports, plans, and working instructions.

Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

2+ years of experience working in a supervisory role, preferably in a Quality Assurance related role.

1+ years of experience in a Quality Auditor or equivalent role required.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge, understanding, and ability to effectively implement requirements of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system., and 19011:2018 Guidelines for auditing management systems.

Ability to develop a comprehensive internal audit schedule covering multiple sources of requirements (e.g. Amentum corporate, APS-5 specific, Performance Work Statement, associated Regulatory requirements).

Ability to establish and implement systems, processes, and procedures to ensure adequate control of documented information required by the quality management system (IAW requirements of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system).

Detailed understanding of the audit process consisting of review of audit criteria, development of audit plans and checklists, performance of audit with process owners and other stakeholders, analysis of audit results, and development of audit reports consisting of audit findings, conclusions, and if appropriate, opportunities for improvement.

Familiar with document management/control processes and requirements.

Effectively plan and organize assigned work with a focus on matters of significance.

Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Work independently with minimal oversight.

Certification, License & Clearance:

ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification is highly preferred.

American Society of Quality Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is highly preferred.

Ability to obtain Secret Clearance within 60 days and prior to deployment required.

US Citizenship is required.

Active Clearance is required: Must have, or be able to obtain, an active Tier 3 Secret U.S. Government clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Tier 3 Secret clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:

Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.

Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.

Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
