Job Purpose
To ensure product quality standards are maintained throughout the garment manufacturing process by implementing and monitoring both Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes, from raw materials to final shipment.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, SOPs, and inspection systems.
Conduct pre-production meetings (PPM) to align teams on buyer requirements.
Approve fabric, trims, and samples before bulk production.
Ensure compliance with buyer quality manuals, AQL standards, and audit requirements.
Train QC inspectors, supervisors, and operators on defect awareness & quality procedures.
Conduct internal process audits and ensure CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions) are implemented.
Quality Control
Monitor fabric inspection, cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing quality checkpoints.
Supervise and guide QC inspectors to ensure inline and end-line checks are properly executed.
Perform inline inspections (operation-wise) and control recurring defects.
Carry out end-line inspections to confirm garment workmanship, measurements, and finishing.
Verify carton packing, assortment, and labelling accuracy before shipment.
Conduct final AQL inspections and release shipments only when quality standards are met.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports (defect % , rework %, audit findings).
Maintain defect classification data and track major recurring defects.
Analyse quality trends and recommend process improvements.
Report major quality issues to management and coordinate immediate corrective actions.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with production, IE, cutting, and finishing teams to resolve quality issues.
Act as a bridge between buyer QA teams/3rd-party auditors and factory management.
Support in buyer/factory audits, ensuring compliance and smooth approval.
Key Deliverables
Maintain defect levels within AQL standards.
Ensure zero shipment rejections or claims from buyers.
Achieve Right First Time (RFT) / First Pass Yield in production.
